Those of you who didn't get to the training day today really missed out. We had a great day and I know people were really encouraged and up for the continuation of this event. What is great about this kind of thing is that it isn't super-spiritual stuff and so people can come as they are and find out more about who they are and the call on their life. I could literally blog for days on the content of today's training and the encouragement it was to me.
We looked specifically at our call to be creative. I guess what was so great for me is that I heard Johnny do a talk on this issue at Soul Survivor last August and today I felt I had moved forward on this journey when I asked myself the same questions as I did back then. The guys/gals who came to this event were soo hungry to learn and even more than that they wanted to build relationships with other people who are passionate about worship. If I could just explain in words the good that does my soul! That's my dream! I love the humility in being teachable and the fact that we have worshippers who really do care about the church and each other.
I am absolutely overwhelmed with excitement when I consider the opportunity we have to build each other up and encourage each other in our faith and gifting as worship leaders and musicians.
JP had assiged a significant amount of time to small group discussion and this was fantastic. I just loved hearing about the experience and struggles people are facing and the fact that this event created a forum where they could be honest. I wish I had the answers but isn't it great to just listen.
Hopefully some of you who were there have been reading and will now post your comments. I would love to hear from you and continue our dialogue.

Hi Claire,
I agree with all your comments on Saturday - it was a great day. Such a great opportunity to meet others in a similar boat, with similar struggles and with a passion to do what we do!
Thanks to all of you for your input and ministry on the day, I was really blessed as I worshipped God, and the new song "Rescuer" really did take my back to the day God picked me up off the floor and changed my life forever. I really hope & pray that this song will minister God's rescue to others. Btw has any music been published for it yet?
All in all, I think the key to the day was the fact that the group was of a size which was really condusive to sharing with each other, and there was a real spirit of openess and honesty which came through JPs talks and the subsequent group sessions. Well worth a trip from Blighty for the day! Having been to a fair few "big" worship seminars, this was so refreshing, as I have found these bigger events to be mostly one-way teaching, as the amount of people restricts the ability to share, and create a community, which last Saturday seemed to be all about.
So thanks to you all! (PS I'll send Ellie's jewellery info to you once she's PDF'd it for me!)...
Thanks for your comment. Great to hear how you have been encouraged by the day. Hope you get to come back. The song 'Rescuer' will be recorded on the album this summer so make sure you get a copy but I'm sure we could send you a chord sheet if you want to use it before then.
Hi Claire
Good comments about Saturday. Hey - what a GREAT day! I know I have said this loads but it really feels like the beginning of something symbolic and special. I've had a few emails from folk who were there and they seemed to benefit a lot from the day - it's really encouraging to hear their comments.
So where to next? Lots to think about and plan. I'm thinking about a similar day at the end of June but my diary is filling up rightly already. Does the end of June suit you guys?
JP
I think june is soon enough and hopefully these blogs will have generated a few more questions, ideas and views that we can inspire and challenge each other with
